Collective Authorship Film Premiere

On Friday, November 22, 2019, between 5:00 – 10:00 PM, we invite you to the Collective Authorship film premiere, which is presented at Switch Lab, Universul Palace, 4th Floor. The screenings will play in a loop, the last one starting at 9:00 PM. Access is free of charge.

Speculating on the qualities of the monumental architecture of Switch Lab, the Collective Authorship team invite you to a less usual cinematographic lunch. Following two years of tireless research of the oral history around the House of the People, the public is challenged to meet those who – belonging to the most different social groups and having the most diverse professions – contributed to the design and realisation of this urban, architectural, economic and political anomaly: the House of the People.

A documentary film and video installation in equal measures, Collective Authorship 2019 is an occasion to confront Bucharest and Romania’s recent pasts, in a unique manner.

This meeting is also an occasion to exchange information on an ever-actual and ever-postponed subject: the House of the People. The authors count on your memories, or those of your family or friends.
